The Gwinnett County Family Violence Task Force

Right now, you or someone you know at work, school, or church may be experiencing violence or abuse in their life.

Do you know the signs?   Do you know the questions to ask?   Do you know how and where to get help?

The Gwinnett County Family Violence Task Force is made up of representatives from criminal justice, the courts, prosecution, law enforcement, parole, probation, faith, mental health, health care, education, social services, businesses, survivors, civic groups and other interested citizens. We invite you to partner with us to stop all forms of violence in our community.

Our Mission:

To provide a coordinated response to meet the needs of persons affected by domestic violence which will promote effective intervention, enhance victim safety, and ensure offender accountability.

 

Our Vision:

To have healthy and strong residents and families in Gwinnett County through a comprehensive, collaborative, community effort.

 

The Task Force is focused on two major objectives:

·        To increase the reported cases of family violence

·        To decrease the actual cases of family violence
